On laptops that worked with the dock, 4K video playback was smooth, and I didn't notice any lag when supporting all of the displays. Over USB 3.0, it output to two monitors without issue. I even flashed older firmwares for the D6000, with no success.Of the laptops I tested, the one with the biggest issues was the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro, which didn't consistently charge over the 65W adapter (possibly due to the demands of its discrete graphics, though the XPS 15 and its GPU worked fine) and didn't output to any of the monitors over USB Type-C. I have tried everything I knew and could do, researched everything that I could find on this. After reboots and reboots, disconnecting power and connecting again, still nothing. Therefore, I updated the firmware of the D6000 itself from Dell support’s website. I narrowed the issue down to the displaylink software itself. It is important to note that my monitor, my HDMI cable and my ethernet cable are not faulty – they all work when directly connected to my laptop.

This is the case for all laptops, which all have the necessary drivers. I am also not getting any ethernet connection through the dock. Here is my issue: the HDMI output does not work, i.e. All laptops (my latitude and the macbook) also charge through the dock effortlessly. Here is what works: any plugged in USB in the dock works/is recognised, as well as usable by all laptops. I also downloaded the latest required drivers from Dell’s website related to docking. I made sure they were installed properly and running. Once I unpacked it, I followed all instructions, downloaded all latest drivers for the relevant computers. I have recently purchased a D6000 universal docking station (Dell), which I intended to use with my laptop (Latitude 7390), as well as my relatives’ laptops (macbooks and windows PCs) if they so needed.
